Welcome to Bayonne Golf Club
If you are a guest of a member, or an unaccompanied group, we are delighted to have you at Bayonne Golf Club and hope you enjoy your visit. Our staff is dedicated to preserving the culture and traditions that make this place truly special. To ensure you have an enjoyable experience, please take note of a couple important guidelines during your time at BGC.
Arrival and Check-In
Upon arrival, please identify yourself and the member hosting you to our security gate staff. They will direct you to the clubhouse, where our outside operations staff will meet and assist you with parking your car and handling your golf clubs. Please drive slowly and carefully up the entrance road and be aware of other cars and golf carts on the road as well. Should you need any assistance, our staff members are always available to guide you.
Locker Rooms
The Men's Locker room is located up the main staircase on the second floor. At the top of the stairs make a right.
The Ladies' Locker room is located on the first floor or the right-hand side just before the golf shop interior entrance door.
Clubhouse and Facilities
Bayonne Golf Club is a walking-only caddie golf course; golf carts are not permitted on the course. However, carts are available for transportation between the clubhouse and the short and long range. Guests are welcome to use our “Heaven’s Gate” ferry service to and from NYC. Please email the golf shop for more information or if you would like to schedule the ferry. [email protected]
Cell Phone
Cell phones are a part of everyday life. Be respectful and aware of your surroundings when using your cell phone.
Caddies
Your caddies for the day will be assigned to your group when you arrive. Please make sure you have a carry bag for the day that is as lite as possible. There is no need for extra clubs, range finders, towels, and bag pockets filled with items not needed for the day. Caddies may lighten up your bag if necessary. If you do not have a carry bag, one will be provided for you for the day.
Pace of Play
All plays begin with our caddie master’s approval. All foursomes are expected to complete their round of golf in four & half hours. The goal is to maintain pace with the group in front of you, rather than focusing on staying ahead of the group behind you. If your group is having difficulty keeping up and cannot catch the group ahead, please allow the group behind you to play through. Our Golf Professional Staff will monitor the pace of play as well as the Caddies in your group.
Practice Ranges
Bayonne GC has two practice areas. A “Short Range” with a maximum hitting distance of 165 yards and a “Long Range” down on the Hudson River hitting golf shots into the water. Please leave 30 minutes or more before your tee time if you plan to use the practice area.
Hydration Stations
Please hydrate with water throughout the day. Bring your own water Hydo Flask or container. The club provides BGC logoed containers for purchase in the golf shop. Refill stations are located at the First Tee/ Hole #4 / Hole #7 path to #8 / Hole #10/ Hole #14 and Hole #17
Food & Beverage
Continental breakfast is available starting at 6:30am. Breakfast menu is available but please leave plenty of time before your starting time. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are served daily during clubhouse hours.
Attire
Although Bayonne GC has a relaxed dress code, members and guests of all ages are encouraged to wear traditional golf attire on the golf course and around the golf property. Members are responsible for the attire of their guests while on property.
